Set Intention For Your Vision

Most people take stock of their lives and began to set goals this time of year. I am no different. However, I choose to dream big as I set my goals. I have challenged myself to dream big so that I may encourage others to dream bigger! Financial Freedom is high on my dreams/goals. You may be wondering what are you talking about! For me, Financial Freedom would be to earn money while pursuing my passion projects and to accumulate enough funds to someday live off that money for the rest of my life.

Since I have clarified my vision, I am now focus on the energy to move that vision forward. Believe it or not, we sometimes are our own roadblock on the road to success. Visualization can be sabotaged by the negative stories we tell ourselves. "I don't have enough, I don't know enough, I am not enough to realize these dreams."

To focus our energy we must set intention for our vision. Setting an intention is like drawing a map of where you wish to go — it becomes the driving force. After I viewed Ashanti Johnson's Ted Talk on the Power of Visualization ( https://youtu.be/S95-9-VuB0U ), I realized that I was beginning to practice mental fitness. I have always found that meditation has centered and focused me so why not kick it up a notch in 2019? I am ready to embark on this journey with a renewed sense of purpose. I hope you will travel with me. I know this may all sound very "new age" and maybe it is. However, if we don't try something new, how can we expect different results? So I challenge anyone reading this to do the following:

1. Determine what your future looks like - Dream big. What does it look like? Who is there with you? Be specific. I suggest writing it down.

2. Set a time and/or place that you can focus on that vision of your future - Visualize, live in the details of that future. Breathe. Dream.

3. Set your intentions. - Share with a partner. Remind yourself daily where you are going. Walk in that future (Do the work that you visualize yourself doing, dress in the clothes, go to the places, etc)

4. Seek out mental fitness seminars or videos to help you in your practice.

5. Share your journey and progress.

We are reaching new heights in 2019.
